Wildcat Mountain, W4G/NG-020, is a 3,780-foot summit in North Georgia worth 8 SOTA points. It sits where the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest, US-4473, and the Chestatee Wildlife Management Area, US-7138, overlap, so one set of QSOs counted for a summit and two parks.
I started on 2 meters FM with a handheld and made 4 local contacts, enough to qualify the summit. Then I switched to HF and FT8 for 11 more on 20, 17, and 10 meters. The 17 meter contact with the Netherlands was the longest, at about 4,300 miles, and 10 meters reached Alaska.
This was the end of a busy two weeks of summits: Snowbird Mountain in North Carolina, Joe Mountain, Gooch Mountain, and Pine Mountain came before it.
POTA credited 15 QSOs, including 4 phone QSOs that aren't in the digital log.
